(Undated) – Former state House Speaker Tom Leonard is ending his bid to become Michigan’s next governor. Leonard had been seeking the Republican nomination for the November election, but had struggled to raise money and was polling in the single digits for support.

Congressman John James and businessman Perry Johnson are currently the frontrunners for the GOP nod, with former Attorney General Mike Cox in third and Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt trailing in fourth.
