Grand Haven Twp., MI (WGHN) – A 42-year-old woman was taken to the hospital following a rollover crash in Grand Haven Township Wednesday evening.
Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly before 7:20 p.m. to Mercury Drive near Meadowlark Drive after receiving reports of a vehicle driving erratically and hitting the curb multiple times before leaving the roadway.
Upon arrival, authorities found a black GMC Acadia in a yard, resting on top of a fence. Investigators said the woman had been traveling westbound on Mercury Drive when her vehicle went off the road.
The SUV struck an unoccupied riding lawn mower before continuing across a yard and hitting a row of small trees. It then crossed into a second yard, crashed through a front yard fence, traveled through the backyard and ultimately came to rest on top of another fence.
Deputies said the woman did not appear to have visible injuries but was drifting in and out of consciousness and could not explain what had happened. She was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
