(Lansing, MI) – There are 545 candidates for state and federal offices who will be on the ballots in Michigan this year. The filing deadline was yesterday, and 137 candidates waited until Monday or Tuesday to file their paperwork with either their county clerk or the state Bureau of Elections. Both the Republican and Democratic parties have filed candidates in every U.S. House, state House, and state Senate district.
