Ferrysburg, MI (WGHN) – The Ferrysburg City Council will meet Monday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 17520 Ridge Ave.

During the meeting, councilmembers will hear a presentation from local resident Jim “The Shark” Dreyer, an endurance swimmer known for multiple attempts to cross Lake Michigan in recent years.

On the agenda, the council is expected to consider several items, including the removal of five trees along Pine Street, approval of a quote to paint 264 fire hydrants across the city, and the introduction of a new ordinance updating the city code related to residential land use, development requirements, and the review process.

The Grand Haven Tribune reports that council will also hold three work sessions focused on the proposed 2026–27 city budget, Pine Street parking, and the possibility of establishing a dedicated park millage.
