Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Access to the campground at Grand Haven State Park is closed as crews begin removing sand and preparing the area for the busy summer season.
The work started Monday and is expected to continue through the rest of the month. Visitors should be aware of heavy equipment operating throughout the park during that time.
The campground and day-use parking lots are set to reopen May 1.
While the cleanup is underway, the pier and shoreline will remain open to the public. The channel parking lot will also stay open for daily use.
