(Washington, DC)  –  President Trump says the U.S. Navy will begin the process of blockading any ships from leaving or entering the Strait of Hormuz.  Trump outlined his plans during a phone interview with Fox “Sunday Morning Futures.

Trump announced the blockade in a post on Truth Social Sunday morning after peace talks in Pakistan ended without a deal.  He added that he’s instructed the Navy to “seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran,” and that the U.S. would begin “destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits.”

President Trump says the U.S. Navy will prevent ships from using the key shipping channel.
President Trump said the naval blockade will keep Iran from illegally profiting from extortion while the rest of the world suffers.
