(Hope Town, Bahamas) – Authorities in the Bahamas have arrested the husband of the Michigan woman who disappeared after falling off a boat. Police say 59-year-old Brian Hooker was arrested Wednesday after he claimed his wife, 55-year-old Lynette Hooker, fell overboard from their eight-foot dinghy last weekend because of “unpredictable seas” in the Atlantic. His lawyer says Brian Hooker “categorically and unequivocally” denies any wrongdoing.
Lynette Hooker’s daughter says her mother was a strong swimmer with over ten years experience sailing and doesn’t understand how she could have fallen overboard and disappeared.
