(Kent County, MI) — Carbon monoxide poisoning is being confirmed to have killed a mother and her daughter in Kent County. On Tuesday, 38-year-old Nicole Moore and her 16-year-old daughter Kyli Dodge were found dead in a vehicle at Maplewood Mobile Home Park off South Division Avenue. Their family says the two had just returned home from a trip to Tennessee and while parked and talking, both fell asleep in the car.
Investigators say carbon monoxide then leaked into the vehicle through floorboards due to issues with the vehicle’s exhaust.
