Vehicle Catches Fire After Crash in Grand Haven Township

Grand Haven Twp, MI (WGHN) – A vehicle caught fire after a crash in Grand Haven Township Sunday morning. It happened around 9:55 near Ferris Street and US-31. Deputies say a 35-year-old Fennville woman had stopped at a traffic light when her vehicle was rear-ended by a 16-year-old driver from Jenison.

The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire, but the driver and her passenger were able to get out safely. Both were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The teenage driver was taken to a local hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
