(Minneapolis, MN) – The winter storm hitting the Upper Midwest is being called “historic.” The National Weather Service says the winter storm system rolling across Minnesota, Wisconsin and Upper Michigan could dump up to two feet of snow through Monday, making it one of the biggest snowstorms of all time. The forecast is calling for blizzard conditions, especially Sunday night into Monday, with winds reaching 50-to-60 miles-per-hour creating whiteout conditions.

Forecasters urge local residents to stay home, as travel could become life-threatening.
