(Sault Ste. Marie, MI) – The Soo Locks will open for the shipping season on March 25th. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers made that announcement yesterday. The Soo Locks have been closed to freighters since January 15th for repairs and maintenance.
The park and viewing platform will open at 11:30 p.m. on March 24th and the Visitor Center will hold its annual open house March 25th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
