Grand Haven becomes a Bird City

Grand Haven, MI WGHN) – The City of Grand Haven is now a  Bird City.  A Bird City designation is awarded to communities, counties, or campuses that adopt specific, high-standard bird-friendly practices, including habitat protection, reducing hazards, and public education.

Officially recognized Bird City programs (such as in Wisconsin, Michigan, or Georgia) require meeting criteria across categories like native plant restoration, sustainable landscaping, and celebrating World Migratory Bird Day.
