Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – There is a delay in the Chinook Pier redevelopment. It’s been moved to August due to EGLE testing delays says Assistant City Manager Dana Kollewehr.

In September Grand Haven City Council  approved a ground lease agreement with Copper Rock Construction to rebuild Chinook Pier, a major step toward restoring the waterfront landmark demolished in 2020 due to mold.
Councilwoman Erin Lyon:
The $15–20 million redevelopment will revive office and retail space while adding year-round amenities, including a restaurant and large community marketplace. The plan emphasizes stronger ties between Chinook Pier and downtown businesses
Construction is expected to finish in 2027. The Grand Haven Farmer’s Market will stay put till at least after Coast Guard and mini golf will stay operational.
