The Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget says the rate is now five-percent and say October’s number is not being published due to the federal government shutdown last fall. The national jobless rate was four-point-six-percent for November.

Nationally, the unemployment rate in the past year is up four-tenths of a percent and Michigan’s unemployment rate is two-tenths of a percent lower year-over-year.
