(Lansing, MI) – Michigan’s minimum wage is rising effective tomorrow. It is rising from 12-dollars-48-cents an hour to 13-dollars-73-cents after Governor Whitmer signed the Improved Workforce Opportunity Wage Act in February. A Michigan Supreme Court ruling in 2024 will result in the minimum wage rising to 15-dollars an hour on January 1st, 2027.
Annual increases in 2028 and beyond will be tied to inflation.
