(Undated) – A round of bad weather is expected to cause messy holiday travel conditions. The storm is headed for the central and eastern parts of the U.S. during the middle and latter part of this week bringing in rain, fog, ice and possibly more snow. A surge of cold air will sweep in behind the storm, and meteorologists are closely watching for the potential of rain changing to snow in the Appalachians. It comes as AAA expects a record 122-point-four million people to travel more than 50 miles between December 20th and New Year’s Day.
