(Kent County, MI) – Tech giant Microsoft is hoping to build a new data center in Kent County. In October of last year, Microsoft purchased more than 300-acres of land in the area of Patterson Avenue and 76th Street in Gaines Township. Microsoft has now submitted a request to rezone the property to build a data center.
The township’s planning commission will host a public hearing on the rezoning request on Thursday.
