(Ann Arbor, MI) – Former Michigan Football Coach Sherrone Moore is expected to appear in court today for his arraignment. The coach was fired for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member on Wednesday and was later taken into custody. It’s unclear what exact charges he faces. Meanwhile, FOX2 has audio from a 9-1-1 call that’s reportedly from the address of a UM football employee. On the recording, police are responding to reports of a man attacking a woman.
Michigan interim president Domenico Grasso says former football coach Sherrone Moore was fired immediately after an investigation found credible evidence of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. In a letter to campus, Grasso emphasized the university has zero tolerance for such conduct and said the investigation is ongoing.
The letter did not address Moore’s later arrest, which university officials say is being handled separately by law enforcement.
