(Clarkston, MI) — Federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcements spent part of Wednesday searching in Clarkston for two alleged gang members. Jad Salamey is an immigration and civil rights attorney for the Council on American-Islamic Relations Michigan Chapter and had this reaction.
ICE were searching for the two near the entrance of the Pine Knob Music Theater along with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. No one was caught in the search and Clarkston Community Schools entered into a shelter-in-place during the effort. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says the suspected gang members had been spotted near an elementary school in Independence Township.
