(Romulus, MI) – The ongoing federal government shutdown is likely going to impact flight availability at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. David Fishman is the owner of Cadillac Travel Group and says customers are worried.
The Wayne County Airport Authority says they are “aware of unconfirmed reports” that the airport is on the flight reduction list from the Federal Aviation Administration. They say they have not received official confirmation from the FAA yet about any specific airports that will be impacted. The FAA said this week they intend to reduce flights by ten-percent due to staff shortages from the government shutdown.
Cadillac Travel Group owner David Fishman says he is getting plenty of calls from travelers with airline tickets about possible flight cancelations at Detroit Metro Airport.
