(Grand Rapids, MI) – Grand Rapids native and Dallas Cowboys player Marshawn Kneeland is dead at the age of 24. The Cowboys announced Kneeland’s death Thursday morning, but did not provide a cause of death. Kneeland recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown in the Cowboys’ game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. He was drafted in the second round in the 2024 draft out of Western Michigan. The Cowboys described Kneeland as “a beloved teammate and member” of the franchise.
He was an alumni of Godwin Heights high School and Western Michigan University.
