Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – An armed robbery at a West Olive gas station Wednesday morning led to a high-speed police chase across county lines.
Deputies were called just before 11 a.m. to the West Olive One-Stop on West Olive Road, where two suspects allegedly held a store clerk at gunpoint and stole merchandise. The clerk wasn’t hurt.
A deputy later spotted the suspect vehicle in Allendale Township, but the driver took off — leading deputies on a chase into Kent County. The vehicle was later found abandoned, and three suspects were caught after running from the scene. A 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were taken to the Ottawa County Jail and Juvenile Detention Center. A 17-year-old was released to his parents.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the case remains under investigation.
