(Lansing, MI) – Smoke from Canadian wildfires will continue to cover Michigan through Saturday. The statewide Air Quality Alert has been extended through August 2 after it was supposed to expire yesterday. Canada has 608 active wildfires, including more than 430 that are burning out of control right now.
Many of them are in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan along with the northwest part of Ontario.
