(McAllen, TX) — A man is dead after opening fire at a Border Patrol facility in South Texas. McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez says this was an ambush.
He says no federal agents were hurt. One local police officer was hit in the knee by either a bullet or a bullet fragment. The gunman has been identified as Ryan Mosqueda. He’s from Michigan and arrived at the facility in a car with Michigan license plates. On the side were spray painted words, but the chief would not elaborate.
McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez says it’s amazing that no law enforcement was killed in the ambush.
