GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WGHN) — A 16-year-old boy from the Grandville area was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash late Saturday night while walking along I-196.
Michigan State Police say the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway near the 44th Street overpass. Troopers responding to the scene found the teen had been hit by a vehicle and died from his injuries.
He is described as a white male with brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt, gray basketball shorts, and white Nike shoes. His name has not yet been released.
Investigators are working to identify the driver and vehicle involved, but no description has been provided at this time.
