Grand Haven, MI— The Momentum Center is excited to announce the re-launch of its donation-based community café, beginning on June 2nd.
Jenna Vipond, Chief Operations Officer, explains, “This initiative will be operated by Momentum Center members who are volunteering their time at the Vous Café, where they will learn to apply life skills while fostering community engagement.”
The café will be open Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, providing guests with delicious donuts from Leppinks, coffee from Aldea, and canned soda, as well as pastries. Visitors are invited to stop in to enjoy a treat and support members as they gain hands-on experience in customer service, money management, cleaning, organizing, and communication.
Member and volunteer of 7 years, Irene, shares, “Volunteering in the café will give me the opportunity to give back to the Momentum Center after all the opportunities they have given me over the years.”
In addition to the new café structure, the Momentum Center will host Food Truck Fridays. This will begin on July 11 and will end August 7. Local food trucks will be parked outside the center, offering visitors more delicious options from 11AM to 3PM. Participating vendors include Inspired Eats, Arturo’s Tacos, Street Chef Shaw, and El Jalapeño.
The Momentum Center provides opportunities for members to engage in exercise classes, training in life skills, outings in the community, and more.
Join us in supporting a space where individuals can learn, connect, and contribute to a thriving community. Stop by for a donut and coffee and be part of something meaningful.
