(Olive Township, MI) — The Ottawa County board of commissioners will start their search for a new county administrator again. They interviewed U.S. Army Colonel Michael Tremblay earlier this month, but board chairman John Teeples says the public has a right to hear from more candidates.

Interim County Administrator Gary Rosema came out of retirement.

Ron Frantz is Interim Deputy County Administrator. They will go back to the list of candidates that was prepared by consulting firm Double Haul Solutions.

These Ottawa County residents want the board to hire a new administrator now.

Teeples says in mid-August, the county plans to reopen the position for new applicants. Starting in September the board will review the applications and conduct interviews..
