(Lansing, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has filed a brief along with 21 other attorneys general to support lawsuits filed by National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service. The lawsuits were filed after President Trump directed the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and executive branch agencies to end the federal government’s funding for both entities.
The attorneys general say public broadcasting serves a critical role in delivering information to the public and the budget cuts would cause a great deal of harm.
