CROCKERY TWP, MI, (WGHN) – A 47-year-old Nunica man was killed late Saturday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Apple Drive, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. on June 15 near the intersection of Apple Drive and State Road. Deputies and Crockery Township Fire personnel responded to the scene after receiving reports of a serious crash.
Investigators determined that the motorcyclist was traveling southeast on Apple Drive when he lost control and left the roadway. He was thrown from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Emergency crews attempted to render aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Apple Drive was shut down between 130th Avenue and State Road for approximately two hours while authorities investigated the incident.
