(Olive Township, MI) – No decision has been made by the Ottawa County board of commissioners after they interviewed the lone finalist for the job of county administrator. U.S. Army Colonel Michael Tremblay was interviewed for an hour and a half yesterday, saying he believes he would be a good fit for the job but added it is demanding and has a “lot of competing interests.” Ottawa County has been without a full-time, permanent administrator since John Gibbs was fired in February 2024.
Two other finalists withdrew their names, and the board will resume the search for an administrator at their June 24 meeting.
