(Grand Haven, MI) – Grand Haven’s outer harbor is undergoing a dredging project. Winter shoaling accumulates in that area and crews are expected to be done within a few weeks. A representative from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says they have started to remove large amounts of sediment yesterday and will place it south of the southern pier area.
Authorities are asking the public to be aware of “active project areas” and to look for safety signs.
State Rep. Greg VanWoerkom, who represents Grand Haven and neighboring communities, has announced that a Grand Haven dredging timeline has been set for late 2025.
