Unemployment Rate Remains At 5.5%

(Lansing, MI) – Michigan’s unemployment rate for April remains steady with March at five-point-five-percent. The state Department of Technology, Management, and Budget says there were eleven-thousand payroll jobs added in April. The jobless rate is one-point-three-percent higher than the national rate of four-point-two-percent.

Ottawa County continues to have the third lowest unemployment rate in the state.
