(Park Township, MI) — Park Township is purchasing the former Holland U.S. Coast Guard station on Lake Macatawa. The township will use it for water rescue operations and township firefighter Cal Keuning says it will provide them with quick access to high-traffic areas.
Township manager Howard Fink says the site will also be used to educate boaters and swimmers about water emergencies. The purchase is for one-point-four-million-dollars and the township will spend 400-thousand-dollars to improve it.
