GRAND HAVEN, MI, —The Tri-Cities Family YMCA is thrilled to announce the launch of construction on their $10 million capital improvement project. The “Y For All” project will rejuvenate the beloved community facility and usher in a new era for the YMCA, making it an even more inviting and transformative space for community members.

The project’s priorities are early childhood development, access for all, and sustainability. Renovations include:

· An improved and expanded Welcome Center

· Remodeled childhood education space

· Improved accessibility by moving the cardio theater and track to the main floor, offering an open atrium designed specifically for kids, completely renovating locker room spaces and adding family locker rooms

· Updated infrastructure with renovations to the pool, replacement of the roof, and an update of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems

· Refreshed spaces with modern furniture, lighting, flooring, illumination, wayfinding and wall coverings

Leading the fundraising campaign to support the project are honorary co-chairs Erick and Holly Johnson and operational co-chairs Jeff Beswick of Varnum Law and David Redeker of Eagle Quest International.

Gregory Coil, CEO of the YMCA, expressed his excitement for the start of construction: “We are able to begin construction thanks to the vision and leadership of our Board, the generosity of donors in our community and the support of our elected officials. We will increase our capacity for early childhood education, strengthen our health and wellness portfolio, and steward our infrastructure to ensure the Y serves our community for generations to come.”

The Tri-Cities Family YMCA, serving over 10,000 individuals through its various programs and initiatives, invites community members, local businesses, and supporters to join the campaign effort. Participation and support will help the Y reach their goal of ensuring that the YMCA remains a cornerstone of health, fitness, and community engagement for many more decades to come.
