(Grand Rapids, MI) – The fountain and reflection pool outside the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum will be removed. Officials say it will be replaced with green space, and the fountain has sat unused since October 2019. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation looked at several repair options and a 2021 engineering study determined restoration would cost between four-million and seven-million-dollars.
The transformation is scheduled to be complete by next spring.
