(Mackinaw City, MI) – Work to restore power in northern Michigan is continuing more than a week after an ice storm devastated several counties. Presque Isle Electric & Gas crews say they have nearly 13-thousand still without power and have restored service to nearly 22-thousand. Consumers Energy says two-thousand-291 of their customers are still in the dark, and Great Lakes Energy says 17-thousand-629 customers were impacted and they still have 848 active outages.
The Grand Haven Board of Light & Power (BLP) deployed a line crew last Sunday. The BLP line crew joins other Michigan municipal electric line crews across the state that are working through exceedingly difficult weather conditions to support the communities that have been without power for the week.
