Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – With three more months left in the school year for the Mary A. White family to be together and celebrate as a school community, the school’s PTO and district leaders are seeking fun celebration ideas. The Grand Haven Area Public School district recently announced plan to consolidate its seven elementary buildings into six and convert Mary A. White Elementary into an early childhood center. The move comes in response to enrollment that has declined by roughly 1,000 students over the past ten years and is projected to continue over the next five.
If you have any creative ideas for how best to celebrate the current Mary A. White students and staff, past students and staff, and the history of Mary A. White as an elementary school then take a few moments to complete the survey by Friday, April 4.
