(WRIGHT TOWNSHIP)-A murder investigation is underway following the death of an 18-year-old Wright Township man.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says Hector Enriquez-Rangel was brought to DeVos Children’s Hospital Saturday night suffering from a gunshot wound.
Rangel would succumb to his injuries later in the evening. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be a homicide.
Police learned the shooting happened in the area of Arthur Street & 40th Avenue in Wright Township and quickly located a suspect.
The accused, an unidentified 18-year-old male from Wright Township, is currently lodged in the Ottawa County Jail and is awaiting formal charges related to the incident.
