(Undated) – The NFL has set the salary cap for the upcoming season. League spokesperson Brian McCarthy announced Thursday that the 2025 salary cap has been set at a record 279.2-million-dollars per team, an increase of 23.8-million from last year. That will give the Lions just over 51-million dollars in overall cap space for this coming season.
Meanwhile, the “Free Press” reports the Lions plan to cut special teamer Jalen Reeves-Maybin to clear another roughly two-million in cap space.
