Grand Haven, MI 9WGHN) – The City of Grand Haven will be looking for a new Public Works Director. Derek Gajdos will be shifting into a new role as the city’s project management director.
Councilmembers Kevin McLaughlin and Mike Fritz will conduct the interview process to find a replacement for Gajdos.
The following offices are up for election this year in Grand Haven:
Mayor – 2-year term (November 2025–November 2027)
Two City Council Member Seats – 4-year terms (November 2025–November 2029)
One Board of Light and Power Member Seat – 6-year term (November 2025–November 2031)
One Partial-Term City Council Seat – 2-year term (November 2025–November 2027)
One Partial-Term Board of Light and Power Member Seat – 2-year term (November 2025–November 2027)
We are also seeking Candidates (non-elected positions) for:
Community Center Board (1 regular vacancy)
Historic Conservation District (1 regular vacancy)
Human Relations Commission (3 regular vacancies, 1 student vacancy)
Main Street Downtown Development Authority (1 resident vacancy)
