(Grand Rapids, MI) – Festival of the Arts in Grand Rapids has ceased operations after 55 years. The organization had scheduled this year’s festival for June 6, 7, and 8 after breaking attendance records in 2024 with over 250-thousand people attending. Officials say in a statement that the goal of Festival was “to highlight all the arts in our area and provide access to everyone by making all performances and activities free.”
They say the city has had “tremendous growth,” and several other festivals have been successful, but did not give a reason as to why they are shutting down.
