(Lansing, MI) – Ryan Kelley is among those who received a pardon from President Donald Trump for their convictions for taking part in the January 6th, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. The former Republican candidate for governor says he is thankful that Trump “kept a promise” he made to issue the blanket pardon. More than 30 people from Michigan were charged with federal crimes for their actions that day when they stormed the Capitol to try to prevent Congress from certifying the election win by former President Joe Biden.
Trump has called the supporters who were there “hostages” over the past week.
