(Detroit, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is warning football fans about potential scams with Detroit Lions playoff tickets for Saturday. The game is sold out but resale tickets are available on sites like StubHub for the Lions game against the Washington Commanders. The AG’s office says peer-to-peer money apps like Apple Pay, Cash App, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, and more can be used to scam people and fraudsters also claim to represent a fraud department or merchant, and ask the payer to confirm their bank account user name, password, Social Security number, and more.

Nessel says you should use a credit card to have protections, know your vendor, and do research on the ticket seller.
