Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – A judge has denied a temporary restraining order preventing funds of about $850,000 from leaving Ottawa county’s treasure chest.
As reported Wednesday by Ottawa News Network, Grand Rapids-based attorney Sarah Riley-Howard filed for a temporary restraining order Dec. 16 that would prevent a contract for $563,000 funds from being dispensed from the county to Chester Township for crockery lake restoration.
Howard is also challenging a pair of separation agreements with the county’s interim administrator Benjamin Wetmore and administrative executive aide Jordan Epperson claiming the county board violated Michigan’s Open Meetings Act in multiple ways. The emergency filing by Howard to the court of appeals asked that the court rule by 9 a.m. today Thursday, Dec. 19, in order “to prevent irreparable harm.”
Ottawa County Board of Commissioners meet today at 9:00 a.m. at the Fillmore Street Complex.
Today’s meeting at the Fillmore Street Complex in West Olive is streamed on the County YouTube page.
