(Oxford, MI) – Families of the four Oxford High School students who were shot and killed and the seven other people wounded on November 30th, 2021 are again urging the state to launch an independent investigation into what led to Ethan Crumbley firing the shots. The teenager is serving life in prison without parole after pleading guilty to all charges against him and both of his parents are serving sentences for involuntary manslaughter. The families of the victims, however, say not enough has been done to ensure the shooting is never repeated.
Attorney General Dana Nessel has twice offered to investigate, and both times the school board rejected the offer.
