Two men were rescued after their boat capsized in Robinson Township Monday afternoon. The Ottawa County Sheriff says they were dispatched just after 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon to the area of N Cedar Drive near 104th Avenue after someone heard yelling for help and called 911.

Responding deputies learned that two Muskegon men were fishing in an aluminum Jon boat. They were heading back to shore when the boat caught a wave and capsized. The two men held on to the capsized boat while they yelled for help.

Crews with the Robinson Township Fire Department were able to reach the men and towed them to shore. Once they were on land, one of the men was unresponsive. First responders started CPR and they were both taken to the hospital.
