(Golden Township, MI) – New details are being released about a fatal crash at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The incident happened on May 26th, when a Jeep lost control on the drag strip at the state park, killing 33-year-old Kadie Price after she pushed her two-year-old daughter out of harm’s way. Kadie was the wife of Kent County Sheriff’s Deputy Charlie Price. The driver of the Jeep told investigators that he believed his Jeep’s throttle got stuck, a claim which is still being investigated.

Toxicology reports have determined that the driver of the Jeep did not have any alcohol or drugs in his system at the time of the crash and the case is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon, who will determine if the driver will face any charges.
