(Muskegon, MI) – The owner of a West Michigan dog rescue is expected to be sentenced Monday. Last year, authorities seized 78 dogs from Cober’s Canine Rescue in Norton Shores after the dogs were found living in deplorable conditions. The owner of Cober’s Canine Rescue, Lisa Cober, has previously pleaded guilty to dozens of felony animal cruelty charges.
Per the plea deal, Cober is expected to receive probation and avoid jail time during her sentencing on Monday.
