(Garfield Township, MI) — Michigan State Police say a five-year-old child has been shot and killed at a home in Garfield Township near Newaygo. Lieutenant Michelle Robinson says they were called to the home around 3:25 yesterday afternoon for the shooting. She says they do not know how the gun was accessed and at this time, and don’t know who pulled the trigger.
Robinson added there is no threat to the public.
