(Lansing, MI) – The Mackinac Bridge would have tolls eliminated under a bill before the Michigan House. It currently costs four-dollars for cars to cross the bridge, and five-dollars per axle for semis, buses, motor homes, and other large vehicles.
The bill from minority House Republicans would drop the toll charges. Anyone caught crossing the bridge without paying is subject to a 500-dollar fine and up to 30 days behind bars.
